Wed, Nov 10, 2021 General Meeting Update

GLO is excited to welcome grad workers to our second General Members Meeting of the semester! While Brown has been undermining our contract and mistreating grads, we’ve been hard at work fighting back to protect our livelihoods. Join us tonight at 6PM at 99 Morris Ave to continue our fight for workplace democracy! (You can also join us over Zoom, please RSVP to get the Zoom link.)

In recent months, Brown has been making unilateral changes to our working conditions and going back on their word in our contract. Some grads have received severely late paychecks, and others working remotely were told without warning that they had to move back to Providence. We know from our experiences as workers building this union that the best way to change our working conditions and win campaigns is to take action together. Now more than ever, we can’t sit back and trust Brown to fix things for us. If we continue to raise our voices together, we can ensure that Brown respects our contract and treats grads fairly.

Join us at the Friends Meeting House, at 99 Morris Ave, tonight at 6 PM. We will discuss next steps to protect our workplace democracy, brainstorm how to hold the boss accountable, and hear updates from our Social Justice Committee about our upcoming referendum. Please RSVP and bring a friend! See you there!
