Constitutional Amendment Referendum Passed!

We are pleased to share with you the results of the GLO Constitutional Amendment Referendum. The referendum has passed by a vote of 241 to 4.

As a reminder, this referendum was an opportunity for graduate workers to have a say on strengthening our constitution to increase our union democracy, towards expanding our participatory bargaining process. It ran from September 26th to October 10th, and was conducted using the OpaVote. All Bargaining Unit Members of GLO in good standing were able to participate.

241 members approved the amended constitution, while 4 members voted against the amended constitution. This meets the requirement in GLO's original constitution that an amendment must receive votes from a minimum 25% of members in good standing in order to pass.

Any questions regarding this process can be directed to the elections committee at elections@glounion.org.

We thank you for your participation in this important process.
